Large Group Rally

What is rally?

Large group rally is a time for our ICA family to gather together, worship God, and learn from the Word together. Rallies are typically held on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm on campus, although we have moved to Zoom in response to COVID-19. We invite all people to come! Rally is a great way to get plugged into our family in Christ!

What do we do during rally?

We always kick off rally with a time of worship, where we sing songs praising God. After this, we have a fun icebreaker activity to get to know each other, and often a time for sharing testimonies or thanksgivings to encourage each other. The main activity of the night is an encouraging and challenging message from the Word. After the message, we enjoy good fellowship over good food!

Why do we call our large group meeting “rallies”?

In the 1950s and 1960s, the Navigators would host large gatherings during the week for people to hear the Word of God and be encouraged as disciples. They called these events “rallies,” as if they were rallying the resolve of those called to do Christ’s work. In light of our Navigator roots, we call our weekly large group meetings “rallies.” We welcome both Christians and seekers to come and be blessed to our rallies!
